Ken is a 1967 graduate of Baptist Bible College in Springfield, MO. He met his wife, Nora, there, and following her graduation in 1970 they were approved as missionaries to Australia. They served the Lord as a church-planting missionaries there for nearly 30 years. God used him to establish several churches, a Bible college and a Christian school. He served as lecturer and Dean of Students at Sydney’s Baptist Bible College. They raised their two sons, Sean and Scott, there. Ken became Pastor of First Baptist Church in August of 1999. During his tenure he has been able to see the church grow and add a much needed and extension to its existing facilities. He has also served as Chairman of the Michigan Baptist Bible Fellowship. He feels privileged to be on the “other side” of missions by pastoring a missions-hearted church with a love for the lost of the world.
Matt is a native of Atlantic City, NJ. He grew up as a preacher's kid and came to know Christ as his personal Savior at the age of 15. After surrendering his life to the ministry, he attended Pensacola Christian College and graduated in 2005 with a BA in Youth Ministries. He has been active in ministry since graduation with his wife Sonya, and their one year old daughter, Paige.
